Brown University · Writer for the Humanities and Social Sciences, 2018-Present
I write about the research and scholarship of more than 40 departments at Brown, ranging from the performing arts to economics. I also serve as a public relations officer, pitching faculty research and other University stories to the press and facilitating media interviews with campus scholars. 

CU Presents · Public Relations Manager, 2015-2018
I write press releases, work with news agencies and manage social media accounts to spread the word about more than 100 arts events on the University of Colorado Boulder campus each year. CU Presents hosts the a lineup of world-class musicians and dancers called the Artist Series, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the Eklund Opera program, the Takács Quartet and dozens of productions at the Department of Theatre & Dance.

Classical KING FM · Website and Social Media Manager, 2012-2015
I created, maintained and oversaw all pages on www.king.org; I oversaw KING FM’s social media presence; I wrote on-air promotions of KING FM programs; and I created and edited e-newsletters for 35,000+ listeners and members. I was also web designer, announcer and co-founder of Second Inversion, a KING FM project promoting experimental, modern classical and crossover music.

Expedia Inc. · Content Moderator, September 2010 – December 2011
I moderated Venere.com hotel reviews in Italian, Spanish and German; I investigated negative Expedia.com hotel reviews; and I kept hotel information up to date on Expedia and Hotels.com.

The Seattle Times · Reporter, June 2010 – April 2011
I was a night reporter covering breaking news in print, on seattletimes.com news blogs and on Twitter. As a summer intern, I wrote two or three stories per week on the Metro desk, covering  politics, science, environment, crime and education.

Oregon Daily Emerald · News Editor, Oct. 2009 – Jan. 2010
I oversaw five beat reporters, wrote one to four stories per week, and coordinated accompanying multimedia for story packages.

I covered crime, health and safety on campus and in the surrounding area as a staff reporter and averaged three to five stories per week.

I wrote feature stories on guest lectures, concerts and other major campus events at least once a week.
